Revlon Lash Potion Review!

Hello Upsessers!
Sorry about the absence it was finals week, but its SUMMER BREAK so I am dedicating all my time to my blog and finally starting my YouTube Channel. But any who today I am here to review the ever so popular buzzing Revlon Lash Potion Mascara! So I picked this baby up at Walgreens after watching so many gurus haul this on YouTube. I am just at an ehh level with it. Its not great but its not terrible either. It gave me volume, but little length and I was however pleased with the separation power of the natural bristle brush. Another con I found was that it was extremely flakey on me, I'm not sure if any one else experienced this but I am willing to give it a few more tries before I throw this in the "What were they thinking" pile. As for the growing serum power I don't believe I have used it enough to see results but I will comment on that later. So in conclusion you have to ask "Is this worth me paying $7 or so dollars on it" ehh its a really split decision for me.
PROS: Volume and Separation BUY ME! CONS: Flaking and No Length SAVE YOUR MONEY!

Beauty Brush Mit on a Budget!

Hello Upsesser!
I am so excited about this post! I have been craving the Sigma Beauty Spa Brush Cleaning Glove, but haven't wanted to break down and pay the $39 for what I felt was an over glorified oven mitt. *Now I have to say this I have not personally tried the Sigma Spa Brush Glove, but based on other reviewers I have not felt like it was worth the money*. Anyways, to my surprise the other day while at PetSmart I wandered passed this beauty! It's purpose is obviously for washing your dog but I thought for $10 why not!? I can't rave enough of how well this cleaned my brushes! I have never seen them so white or clean so fast. This baby is my new beauty miracle! It has a textured silicone side which works great for getting deep down in the bristles and a microfiber side that works great for drying! Honestly guys and gals best $10 I have ever spent! To experience this beauty yourself just take a stroll down the pet washing aisle of your closet PetSmart or pet supplies store and pick one of these puppies up you will not be sorry!!
**If you have another alternative let me and all of us know in the comments below so we can check those out as well!!**
Thanks!

And have some lip treatments lying around, use those to hydrate your cuticles! Your nails and lips crave nourishment so why not give them what they deserve ladies balm up those lips and nails!

**Any quick tips that you can think of leave them in the comments below and I'll feature them on my blog along with a shout out for everyone else to enjoy!!**

Beauty Quick Tip!

Hello Upsessers!
This is a little type of post I'm going to start having weekly and it will be Beauty Quick Tips, secret confessions from Sephora's finest!
First Beauty Quick Tip!
*** Ever wonder why after awhile you feel like that foundation you fell in love with just isn't cutting it anymore? It's most likely because your brush is to dirty! Natural hair bristle brushes absorb a lot of oil from your skin when your using them to apply make up, along with a lot of product as well. All this build up can cause the makeup to stick to the brush instead of to your face when applying! So make sure to be a good makeup artist and take care of your brushes! You can use a daily brush spray Sephora Collection has a Daily Brush Cleaner a 6.75 oz bottle for only $14! Or you can really give your brushes  a day at the salon and shampoo them at least once a week! Sephora Collection Purifying Brush Shampoo is a great steal again 6.75 oz for $14!  Double bonus they are antibacterial!! So remember take of your brushes and you'll never have to worry about loosing the love for your favorite foundation again!***
Thanks so much for stopping by!

PS. If you have any tips of you own LEAVE THEM IN THE COMMENTS and I'll FEATURE YOU and some of my favorite here on my blog!!

***disclaimer I am not paid by Sephora in any way to write what I do. These are my own personal opinions.***

ELF Mineral Shadow Swatches!

Hello Upsessers!
Today's post is a continuation of my most recent ELF (eyeslipsface) haul! The other week ELF held a sale if you spent $30 you could pick 10 of their mineral eyeshadows for free! I have done this before when they ran this sale earlier in the year and when they did it again I was like HECK YES! I LOVE LOVE these shadows! The pigmentation is great, long lasting formula and I have seen no creasing! If you have not tried these yet you must get on it! You will not be sorry, even if you missed the sale at the small price tag of $3 for a .03 oz jar, it is money well spent! In today's post I have 4 out of the 10 I selected. I will post the other 6 during the week and if you are interested in the previous ten I already own let me know IN THE COMMENTS!
Innocent: Matte vanilla white I would compare this to MAC Blanc Type eyeshadow
Elegant: Such an amazing color its shimmery white with gorgeous golden flecks the first swatch pic doesn't do it justice but I amped up the flash as you can see in the third pic down and there you can see the amazing sparkle it has!
Celebrity: A very pretty bronzey, gold high shimmer (but not with fall out) and is beautiful foiled!
Caffeinated: Dark cool tone brown with a golden undertone. Super unique! Love this foiled or great for you to use to deepen out the crease!
PS. My next EOTD post will be of a look I did with all 4 of these colors! So make sure to look for it! You can also follow all of my EOTD on my instagram: makeupsessedwithali

ELF Haul Pt.1 Face!

Hello Upsessers!
Today's post is the start of my new Eyes Lips Face (ELF) haul! If you have not heard of this site yet, you have NO IDEA what your missing! Eyes Lips Face is a online makeup store that carries GREAT QUALITY makeup at LOW PRICES a ton of things starting at ONE DOLLAR! I have ordered from this site hundreds of times and I have NEVER been disappointed! I will make sure to link their site at the end of the post so all of you can take advantage of their great deals! This post will relate to everything "face" I got in this order.
ELF HD Blush in Superstar is a beautiful insanely pigmented true pink. It reminds me of when I was little and Tickle Me Pink was my favorite Crayola Crayon it's like the exact color.
ELF HD Blush in Headliner is a super pigmented baby pink with a violet/lavender undertone.
What I love about both of these is how little product it takes to get such great pay off. Both of the swatches below is just one teeny pump! Retails online for $3.00 each. **I now own all the HD blushes if you are interested swatches of the other colors let me know in the comments!**

ELF HD Blush in Headliner and Superstar.
Top- Superstar      Bottom- Headliner

ELF Contouring & Bronzing Cream! Another amazing find at ELF! I already own the powder duo of this set and I love it and I have been looking for a creamy contour color everywhere and I finally found it at ELF! The blush is a very pretty peachy pink with no shimmer. And the bronzer/contour color is a very cool tone light brown again with no shimmer. Needless to say I LOVE IT! It is soooo creamy, sooo pigmented, and I love that the color is light to start and very buildable! This only comes in one shade called St. Lucia, so for you darker skinned beauties this is a buildable formation so don't let the light color keep you from trying it out! Retails online for $3.00 each!

Next up! ELF Studio Blush in Gotta Glow. Now for all you girls like me craving after NARS Albatross, with a not big enough budget, this is an answer to your prayers! It is a gorgeous candle light goldeny glow soo pretty I can't even put it into words! Retails online for $3.00 each.

Last but certainly not least! ELF's new Maximum Coverage Concealer! I was super excited when I seen this one but I am a concealer lover and I feel like I have tried every drug store, high end concealer out there and still haven't found the "perfect" one. But this concealer I purchased in the color Porcelain which is the lightest shade is really nice for the $3.00 price tag! It's super creamy and goes on so smooth and not drying or cakey at all, like some fuller coverage concealers are. Below I put in a picture with the concealer applied to half my hand. I just scrubbed all the other swatches off my hand so I wanted to see how well this concealer covered redness and the blueness of my veins since I will be applying it to my under eye circles. And I can say confidently this may be my new favorite concealer!

For the price the quality is fantastic great color pay off, wear time and no fall out! I highly recommend these shadows to anyone who hasn't tried them yet, or looking to build their collection with high quality low priced cosmetics!
(I am in no way paid by Coastal Scents to say any of this I purchased these all with my own money)
Each pan sells for $1.99 a piece!

S38: A flesh tone color with a pinky undertone almost matte but has some shimmer.
Earth Rose: Contrary to the name it has more of a brown meets dusty rose but the brown stands out, would call this shimmer because it has only a fine glitter dusting throughout.

Mai Tai: A very pretty shimmery taupe with a with a silver but almost pink undertone, very unique.

Mini LUSH Spa Night!

Hello Upsessers! So the other night me and my best friend went to LUSH and purchased a few things to have a mini pampering spa night! And I have to say a few glasses of wine and face masks later we were definitely feeling like pampered princesses!
The first thing I purchased was the Love Lettuce Fresh Face Mask. This mask, according to Lush's website and wonderful employee that helped me, is a balancing mask for all skin types. What attracted me to this mask was the fact that is was exfoliating with the help of the ground almonds inside. The mask's other active ingredients is kaolin which helps to tighten pores, and the mask also has honey which acts as a natural moisturizer. BONUS: It was only $6.95 a jar and there is enough in there for atleast 3 masks! (fyi needs to be refrigerated)
Lush's website also goes on to say "We blend fresh seaweed to nourish and soften with 100% pure French lavender oil to balance an oily T-zone and ease any inflammation. Use Love Lettuce for bright, fresh skin that glows from the inside out." about the mask! I would give this three thumbs up if I had enough hands! A must try for anyone since it caters to any skin type.
Now this next product I purchased because I have only been hearing every youtube guru I follow rave about it for forever! And that product is the BUBBLEGUM LIP SCRUB. I love everything about this the sweet smell, the great bubblegum taste (yes you can lick it off your lips safely), and the cute girly pink color! This sugary scrub def does the trick to gently exfoliate dead dry skin off of any chapped winter lips! This will definitely be included in my weekly skin routine for sure! I can't wait to try the other flavors too! $9.95 for a 0.8 oz jar!
Lastly the very nice sales girl gave me a sample of the Dark Angels Face Wash because I was on the fence whether I wanted to try it or not. I have to say it is a very nice face wash/soap but I don't think it was really suited for my skin type. When doing a little more research about it on Lush's website I found it is geared towards oily skin and I have more normal-dry skin; so I feel this dried me out a little bit because I didn't have that much excess oil to remove. With saying that I would most certainly recommend this to someone who does have oily skin because it definitely does remove the pesky oil all the while exfoliating away dead skin. Lush's website also states to use this one in shower as it can get "quite messy" which I agree with 110%, since there were black crumbles all over my girlfriend's bathroom afterwards lol! $28.95 for a 8.8 oz jar!

6Contour Blush Palette Coastal Scents Review!

Hello Upsessers! Sorry for being so absent but I am back and working hard to bring you a ton of new posts! So to kick it off I thought I would start with Coastal Scents 6Contour Blush Palette.
Now I have to say I was a little put off by some of the chalky textures of certain colors in this palette just because I have such high respect for their eyeshadow. But besides the texture I was very pleased with pigmentation and coverage.
This palette includes One Translucent Powder, I use it as a setting powder and you might be able to get away with it as a subtle highlight powder.( I did not include this is the swatches for obvious reasons of it being translucent)
The next color is a light flesh colored powder with yellow undertones, this color has nice coverage but this is where the chalkyness comes in to play, if you apply with a light hand and build up coverage I didn't notice a chalky build up. I am going to guess the chalkyness stems from the fact that the powder seems to be a finely milled pigment, which does finish out to have a silky texture once rubbed in.
The next color is another flesh tone but this one having pink undertones instead. Again same chalky texture but does blend out to a silky smooth finish if applied the right way.
The contour color is a deep matte brown, it is a chocolate-esque brown with very nice buildable color. Just a word of advice to fairer skin tones apply very lightly and build to desired color because a little goes along way and it is very easy to over do it with this color!
Lastly the two blushes which are probably my favorite things in this palette. The blush in the top row is a very rosy matte pink, very gorgeous, very vibrant and very wearable; LOVE! The blush in the bottom row is a nice tea rose that is also a matte color. I have noticed this one does go on a lot sheerer than the other so it may take a while to build the desired pigmentation.
Retails on Coastal Scent's website for $18.95!

Now enough typing onto the photos!

Coastal Scents Swatches Pt. 4!

Hey Upsessers!
I have yet another installment in the Coastal Scents swatches posts. There should be two more posts after this one to finish up all 56 eyeshadows. Today's post will be all about GREYS AND BLACKS. The final two will be matte browns and shimmer browns just because there are so many browns I need to break them up into two posts...so stay tuned for those! But like I have been saying I am amazed at the quality of these eyeshadows! They are so silky smooth, super pigmented, and long lasting with no fall out or creasing and the best part they are only $1.99!! So again if you have not done your self the favor of checking out their site you should, and for the record I receive nothing from Coastal Scents for saying these things about their product, I am just a very happy customer and I wanna scream it from the roof tops and share it with all of you makeupsessers so you can celebrate in the goodness too!!
Greys:
Ash Grey: matte soft taupey grey
Bazaar: shimmer silky grey with a slight golden hue super pretty!
Concrete Jungle: shimmer smokey grey with a purple hue
Thunderous: shimmer dark grey with a golden shimmer tint
Gypsy Night: is a very pretty unique color a shimmer dark grey/black with green and gold glitter specks flickering throughout (looks lighter in pic than actual)
Gunpowder: is another not so common color very dark grey I would personally say almost black with a beautiful bronze amber shimmer throughout (looks lighter in pic than actual)
So now onto the Swatches Enjoy!

Coastal Scents Swatches Pt. 3!

Hello Upsessers!
Today I have Part 3 of the Coastal Scent Swatches and this post will feature the GORGEOUS GREENS of my collection! I am in love with every one of these colors, the silky texture and rich color pay off with the added bonus of a great price $1.99 each you can NOT beat it! I'm serious if you have not ordered from Coastal Scents I don't know what your waiting for, because you are seriously missing out on GREAT QUALITY products for LOW PRICES! So on with the individual descriptions and swatch pictures!

Shimmers:
Golden Avocado: It is a beautiful golden green/olive color comparable to MACs Old Gold pigment.
Balsam: Is an amazing bright green with a golden duo chrome/hue to it, think granny smith apple mixed with pure gold.
Dark Golden Olive: Great partner shade to Golden Avocado it is dark forest green color with a hint of gold throughout.

Matte:
Olive: The name says it all think true dirty martini olive shaken not stirred!
M05: This color is almost a true green matte shade but skims the border of forest green because it is a little on the darker side.
Pinehurst: Picture your pine christmas tree and you'll know exactly what this color looks like, true to its name pine, pine, pine!
Olivewood: I didn't know whether to include this in browns or greens but because of the name I placed it here. It is very army green meets khaki, a truly unique color and quite possibly one of my favorites out of the bunch!

Now on to the swatches enjoy!!
