Coastal Scents Swatches Pt. 4!

Hey Upsessers!
I have yet another installment in the Coastal Scents swatches posts. There should be two more posts after this one to finish up all 56 eyeshadows. Today's post will be all about GREYS AND BLACKS. The final two will be matte browns and shimmer browns just because there are so many browns I need to break them up into two posts...so stay tuned for those! But like I have been saying I am amazed at the quality of these eyeshadows! They are so silky smooth, super pigmented, and long lasting with no fall out or creasing and the best part they are only $1.99!! So again if you have not done your self the favor of checking out their site you should, and for the record I receive nothing from Coastal Scents for saying these things about their product, I am just a very happy customer and I wanna scream it from the roof tops and share it with all of you makeupsessers so you can celebrate in the goodness too!!
Greys:
Ash Grey: matte soft taupey grey
Bazaar: shimmer silky grey with a slight golden hue super pretty!
Concrete Jungle: shimmer smokey grey with a purple hue
Thunderous: shimmer dark grey with a golden shimmer tint
Gypsy Night: is a very pretty unique color a shimmer dark grey/black with green and gold glitter specks flickering throughout (looks lighter in pic than actual)
Gunpowder: is another not so common color very dark grey I would personally say almost black with a beautiful bronze amber shimmer throughout (looks lighter in pic than actual)
So now onto the Swatches Enjoy!

Coastal Scents Swatches Pt. 3!

Hello Upsessers!
Today I have Part 3 of the Coastal Scent Swatches and this post will feature the GORGEOUS GREENS of my collection! I am in love with every one of these colors, the silky texture and rich color pay off with the added bonus of a great price $1.99 each you can NOT beat it! I'm serious if you have not ordered from Coastal Scents I don't know what your waiting for, because you are seriously missing out on GREAT QUALITY products for LOW PRICES! So on with the individual descriptions and swatch pictures!

Shimmers:
Golden Avocado: It is a beautiful golden green/olive color comparable to MACs Old Gold pigment.
Balsam: Is an amazing bright green with a golden duo chrome/hue to it, think granny smith apple mixed with pure gold.
Dark Golden Olive: Great partner shade to Golden Avocado it is dark forest green color with a hint of gold throughout.

Matte:
Olive: The name says it all think true dirty martini olive shaken not stirred!
M05: This color is almost a true green matte shade but skims the border of forest green because it is a little on the darker side.
Pinehurst: Picture your pine christmas tree and you'll know exactly what this color looks like, true to its name pine, pine, pine!
Olivewood: I didn't know whether to include this in browns or greens but because of the name I placed it here. It is very army green meets khaki, a truly unique color and quite possibly one of my favorites out of the bunch!

Now on to the swatches enjoy!!

Mini NYX Haul!

Hello Upsessers!
So I decided to take a small break from more Coastal Scent's swatches to do a mini NYX haul! So I was recently shopping around Urban Outfitters and came across some clearance NYX makeup and I was like SCORE! So I grabbed three cream stick blushes and one cream stick bronzer. I LOVE LOVE LOVE them all!
The stick blushes I purchased were in the colors:
Orchid: which is a BEAUTIFUL shimmer pink peach color, it is to die for and the photo does it no justice!
Magnolia: Is a very pretty baby pink with a little undertone of purple no shimmer almost a matte finish.
Tea Rose: Is just that a mauvey tea rose pink with the just lightest bit of shimmer sheen.
NYX bronzer in Bronzy Lambada: Is a gorgeous golden bronze with shimmery gold reflects through out.
So on to the photos!

Coastal Scents Swatches/Review Pt 1!

Hello Upsessers!
So for Christmas I received two Coastal Scents Eyeshadow Palettes and the Blush and Contour Palette. Each eyeshadow palette was the empty 28 pan palette that you can fill with their individually sold eyeshadows, so naturally being the upsesser I am I filled up both 28 pan palettes! Now I can't swatch all 56 eyeshadows in one posting so I figured I would separate them by color family. These eyeshadows are AMAZING! And as I was playing with a bunch of them today swatching and such I discovered some of them are dupes for MAC shadows and Urban Decay shadows, so I will be sure to include comparison photos of the duped colors. Not only do every one of these 56 shades have great color pay off, but there is little to no fall out, and long lasting wear! I couldn't ask for a better quality shadow with such a small price tag at $1.99/pan!(The 28 empty pan palette was only $9.95!) I would most certainly buy from them again! So if you haven't checked Coastal Scents out before I highly recommend that you do! Now on with the photos, I'm starting with the PURPLES today!

Glitter Liners!

Hello Upsessers! Today's Post is all over GLITTER LINERS! I personally own three different brands of glitter liners: Sephora, Urban Decay and Forever 21 Love & Beauty. Personally out of the three my favorite would be the Sephora Brand. Not only does it have a great staying power but it doesn't crease your eyeshadow when you layer over it, has awesome pigmentation, full cover payoff with as little as 2 swipes, has no fall out, and the best part is the stick doubles as a liner brush and mascara wand! Next in line would be Love and Beauty by Forever 21. Now I only own one color in this brand, but not by choice, I could only find one color while I was shopping there the other day. What is really nice about their liners is not only is the glitter very pigmented but the glitter gel suspension has the same color pigment as the glitter for that extra oomph! And the last surprisingly least favorite is Urban Decay Heavy Metal liners. I was sorely impressed by these (especially with such a hefty price tag), they have poor pigmention and it takes forever to build up a noticeable even layer of glitter when applying to the lid. And they have a clear gel suspension which doesn't help the poor pigmention. The only positive thing I have found for these Urban Decay liners was the staying power. It takes a whole lot of scrubbing to get these babies off and even after your eyes are red and raw there is still some residue left over (which you can take as a pro or a con you decide).
Now on the the pictures!! XOXO Ali

Drug Store Haul!

Hello Upsessers!
Welcome back! Sorry for being so absent lately with the holiday its been super busy around here! But I finally made it to the drug store do some makeup therapy shopping and I think I did pretty good!
I was so excited when I went to my local Walgreens and seen the new Fergie section of Wet n Wild and I went a little over board! So a little review of what I got! I purchased 5 Fergie Centerstage Collection Perfect Pout Lip Colors in Fergie Daily, Bebot Love, Penthouse Sweet, Saraghina, and Ferguson Crest Cabernet. They are AMAZING! The color pay off is great, they are creamy and not drying at all, and they last a good amount of time for the price! Also from the Fergie Collection I picked up her Take On The Day Eyeshadow Primer, and On The Edge Creme Eyeliner in Cocoa. Now I can't do a review on these just yet because I haven't tried them out but my first impression is : I'm very impressed! The eyeshadow primer is nice because it has a flesh tone tint to it for a little extra coverage. The cream liner is spectacular; it comes with a good size eyeliner brush and about 2.8 g of product which is decent for the $4.99 price tag. Over all I am very happy with my Fergie Collection purchases, but if you wanna get it on the goodies act fast because as of right now they are LIMITED EDITION!
Now moving on to the Kate for Rimmel Matte Lipsticks, they are a nice creamy texture (creamier than most matte lipsticks) and a little to my dismay they had a bit of a sheen finish when I was hoping they would be a flat matte. I picked up two of her colors in #s 101 and 107. I have to give these another wear or two before I decide fully on whether or not I would purchase again!
And lastly I wandered to the mascaras and picked up both the Maybelline Rocket Volum' Express along with the L'oreal Power Volume Collagen. I have to say L'oreal is the hands down winner in this competition between the two! The lift, volume and fullness this mascara gives you with the defining rich black color is everything you would want in a drug store mascara with out the flakyness and eyelid transfer. Maybelline Rocket Volum' Express on the other hand was not all bad it does give you a good amount of lift but it failed in separating my eyelashes efficiently enough for my liking along with having a lot of transfer to my eyelid area during a days wear.
OK I think I talked enough on with the pictures! ENJOY and Thanks for stopping by!! xox Ali
